Hey, I'm Alex Katin and I'm from Florida. I wanted a change of scenery after going to school in Fort Lauderdale, so I decided to move north to West Palm Beach. I graduated with a bachelors in biology last year. Naturally, I decided to put my degree to work right away and joined AmeriCorps to help teach literacy. I am serving at Ed Venture Charter High School in Hypoluxo. The teachers and staff have been awesome so far and there's never a dull moment with the students. I'm looking forward to a great year at Ed Venture.
