Hi!  I'm Brad Hertzberg and I am from the great city of Chicago.  Last May, I graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN.  I majored in Sociology and minored in Education Studies.  One of my passions has always been working with children and teaching them.  I have worked as a counselor for a day camp since I was 16 and I tutored first and second graders for all four years of college.  Through these experiences, I always knew I wanted to combine these passions and Literacy*Americorps provided me with the opportunity.  I work at Village Academy in Delray Beach, FL through a program called Village Readers.  It is an after school program in which I tutor kindergarten through fifth graders in the afternoon and during the evening, I teach a beginning Adult ESOL class.  Working with adults and children through a family literacy program has proved to be a truly remarkable experience!
