ESSAY CONTEST

The Literacy Coalition is inviting adult learners from all over Palm Beach County to submit an essay on the subject, “The right I value the most from the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights is...” The purpose of the contest is to encourage and affirm writing skills among adult learners.

Essays are to be written in ink (or typed) and must be between 150-200 words. The focus is on writing from the heart. Tutors and teachers are asked not to edit the essays. Entries are to be submitted no later than Friday, February 8. Entries submitted earlier are greatly appreciated.

All entries must list:
• Name of student
• Student phone number
• Name of tutor/teacher
• Program/school
• Tutor/Teacher phone number

Each entry will be read by a judge who will make positive comments about the essay. All participants will be invited to a reception sponsored by BankAtlantic and hosted by the Adult Learner Leadership Board.
