After Americorps I picked up and moved to Madrid, Spain to teach English and soon I´ll be moving to Buenos Aires, Argentina to continue teaching. My experience last year as an Americorps member has helped me a lot in my experiences so far abroad. I gained a lot of practical experience teaching English and working in a multi-cultural environment in my position at DePorres Place. As a result, I feel confident and competent now as a teacher in a strange land. I also have a clear sense of my values and goals due my Americorps service year. Not a day goes by that I don´t think of the friendships I made and the people I helped.
