I'm originally from New Jersey.  I graduated from Douglass College in 2007 with a degree in Sociology.  I have always enjoyed volunteering and decided to join Americorps after graduation in order to give back to my country.  Moving to the Sunshine State was a definite perk along with the instant presence of a warm community among all the Americorps members. In the mornings I work at the West Palm Beach Public Library, supporting the Let's Read program and the library staff.  Then I'm off to the Florence DeGeorge Boys and Girls Club in the afternoons where I get to tutor kids one-on-one.  I really enjoy working with all the children.  Every day is different with them.  I am so glad that I decided to join Americorps.  The experiences so far have been very rewarding and exciting and I don't miss the snow one bit!
