I am from West Palm Beach but have spent many years in other places. I recently returned from fourteen months of living in Canterbury, England. While I was looking for a job I saw the Americorps advertisement in the local newspaper. I still had enough money left over from England to allow me to volunteer – so I called. I am currently working at the library annex in Lake Worth. I teach Conversational English to newcomers to our country. The students are wonderful, so full of the desire to learn English. It has been a great opportunity to meet new people and to give something to the community.
