COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to prepare volunteers to work with adult literacy students. Upon completion of the course, tutors will be referred to community agencies and matched with individuals seeking assistance. Volunteers will tutor adults one-to-one or in a classroom setting. Tutoring sessions are usually once or twice a week for two hours. The sessions are held in public places such as schools or libraries.
COST: A $5 registration fee includes the tutor workbook
for the class.
LUNCH: Please bring a brown bag lunch and drink.
