Adult Literacy Tutor
The greatest gift that you can give is the gift of reading. To become an adult literacy volunteer simply call the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition at (800) 273-1030. No previous experience is required as training is provided. Upon your request you will be matched with a student and a site convenient to you. Tutors and students meet in public places such as libraries and schools. One-to-one tutoring situations require a nine month commitment and are usually exclusive to the library setting. Tutoring in a group setting is also available and does not require an extended commitment or training.
